Mostly 1/32 scale. From early scalextric, sixties scratch built, Revell, MRRC, Riko, Cox, Strombecker, Monogram, Parma, VIP, and many more!!!!!!!!
1/24th are Cox, Parma, Monogram, scratch built, Carrera………

About the track
Located in private premises above my Norton Motorcycle Workshop, the track was built in 1995 and substantially renovated in 2003. It is wooden with 4 lanes (lane centres accomodate 1/24 cars comfortably), a lap length of 90', power from car batteries and lap counters operated by dead-strips. The track is fitted with copper braid recessed 0.2mm and track wiring is BSCRA compliant. The track is also symmetrical in that there are equal corners on either side of the flyover and this means that there is no obvious 'best lane'.
Classes1/32nd Saloon - production based using Parma International 32, or similar. Motors are standard, unmodified Falcons.

1/24 Sports/GT - production based using flexi chassis from Parma, Champion,
JK or similar with sealed, standard Parma 16D motors.

Standard Scalextric/Ninco/SCX - this class to be decided dependent upon demand.

'Club Cars' are available for both 1/24 Sports/GT and 1/32nd Saloon.

Retro and Vintage racing on special occasions!

Demonstrations of ‘Old Timers’ and collectors machines…………

Because the track is located in private premises, membership is by invitation only.

Why ‘Flophouse’?

Steinbeck’s books were about friendship.
In his ‘Cannery Row’ novel. The ‘Palace Flophouse’ was the old shack everyone used to stay for the night. All were welcome, provided they made a contribution; financial, cleaning, beer supplying, playing the guitar, doing the dance…….
In 1986 I rebuilt this old Cider Barn, with Steinbeck’s ideas. From making Cider to playing with motorcycles, slotcars, space-invaders or any other hedonistic activity………..
