Plug-in Cars? Battery Car? So what is this all about? Toyota has its upcoming car with plug-in features. The Prius Plug-in Hybrid Vehicle (Pruis PHV). The first of its kind that combines the practicality of Hybrid Synergy powered with compact, lightweight lithium-ion batteries for extended driving range using electricity.
These cars can be recharged from a standard 11oV household electric outlet for only 3 hours. Wow! That very quick! It does not requires special charging station but if you use it with a dedicated 220V outlet, recharging will just take about one and a half hours. That’s easy as 1-2-3. This will give additional business to cities and other places where they could build a building for charging stations.
The battery for Prius PHV weighs a total of 330 lbs. This type of battery will ensure a strong and seamless acceleration up to 60mph under electric-mode power. Built to last for the life of the vehicle.
Prius PHV does not use a bigger battery for the belief that the smaller battery, the better. Happy Driving!
